Finishing 278 (70-70-67-71,-10) after the week and tied 26th, Luo Xuewen from Shandong Province stood out from the 36 Chinese players of the 2018 European Challenge Tour Foshan Open, receiving the “Best Chinese Player” award as well as the prize offered by the event sponsor Chow Tai Fook. The exquisite prize from the celebrated brand is made of pure gold and composed of two parts—"Inheritance – Bead Chain" and an "Inheritance – Flying Dragon Pedant", passing on good wishes to Chinese player.

Luo was excited and said: “This is beyond my expectation. Feel like I was blessed and favored by fortune!” Wearing the heavy gold jewelry, he grinned, “I focused on the game and didn’t think too much about the prize. But it is really beautiful and precious. Thank the Foshan Open and the sponsor Chow Tai Fook!”

This is the third time for Luo to compete in the Foshan Open and different from the two previous times, he had his girlfriend by his side. “My girlfriend was with me on site. That made me stay cool while more motivated. So far there is no Chinese player winning the European Challenge Tour. So everyone of us had worked so hard towards it. I played pretty good with iron this week, which gave me big confidence. Though I couldn’t get the title, the experience allowed me to know more about myself. My tee shot is around 270 yards and that is weak compared with the players from European Challenge Tour. I’ll be in an intensive training this winter and work hard on the physical part. Hope to make progress on the number. Next year I will fight for a victory at home!”
