TOP PLAYERS HEAD TO FOSHAN OPEN

Spectators at this month’s Foshan Open can expect a truly international feast of world class golf with players from 25 countries due to compete in what is one of the richest prize money events on the European Challenge Tour.  With some of the world’s finest young talent on display, spectators will experience some highly exciting and memorable moments as these young ‘stars of tomorrow’ risk all to win a chance to take the next step up on the world stage and challenge the established greats of the sport and, for some, take their own places among them.

“We’re delighted that the Foshan Open continues to attract players from so many countries worldwide,” said Julian Small, general manager of Foshan Golf Club. “We will have players from as far apart as America, Chile, New Zealand, Norway and South Africa. So it’s going to be a fantastic for spectators to have the chance see so many different nationalities competing together here in Foshan.”
That importance of this month’s event is underlined by the fact that no fewer than 48 out of the leading 50 players on the European Challenge Tour rankings have entered.

Joachim B Hansen (DEN)
Leading on Road to Ras Al Khaiman, the 28-year-old Danish man Joachim B. Hansen achieved victory in Turkish Airlines Challenge and Made in Denmark Challenge presented by Ejner Hessel. Lifting up the Canton Cup will certainly shore up his overwhelming position.

Sebastian Soderberg (SWE)
With a championship in Italian Challenge presented by Cashback World and two runner-ups in the season, Sebastian Soderberg from Sweden is also a hot favorite for the title

Stuart Manley (WAL)
Another promising winner may be the 39-year-old Welsh man Stuart Manley, who played in European Tour for a several years and notched up the Hauts de France Golf Open 2018.

The world-class potential of the talent to play in the Foshan Open this month can be illustrated by the recent Ryder Cup match between Europe and USA.  No fewer than six out of the 12-man European team are former European Challenge Tour players, such as Tyrrell Hatton, the Runner-up of Foshan Open 2013, and the three time Major winner—Brooks Koepka of the USA team.
