Mr.Pang Won the Spot of Foshan Open

To Mr. Pang Haoquan, Member of Foshan Golf Club, August 30 is a very special day. He was one of the two representing Foshan Golf Club finishing the Qualifier in Southern China Golf Club Members’ Ranking Tournament.
And he defeated 62 excellent golfers from other clubs around Southern China in the Final with one stroke different with runner-up to gained the spot of Foshan Open.
Even though the tournament was as Foshan Golf Club, Mr. Pang was shocked by the set-up. He said: “The golf course set-up for Members’ Ranking Tournament in Foshan is similar as a professional tournament. Some tee markers are set at the Black Tee and the pin position was very challengable, which is pretty different than what Foshan Golf club is during the day, and the challengable it brought was brand new. I have participated for many types of amateur tournament these years, but the Southern China Golf Club Members’ Ranking Tournament - Foshan Open Qualifier is a treasure for my experience. The champion in this tournament is the most important triumph in my golf career. I just joined another top national amateur tournament before, but it was pity that I didn’t get the qualifier. And now, I have fulfilled my dream joining Foshan Open this year.

The challenge golf experience that Mr. Pang had for the Members’ Rank Tournament is proved by Vic Carder, Director of Golf from Foshan Golf Club. “During the Ranking Tournament, the green speed is 9.7 and total length of the course set up is 6879 yards, which generally during the day it is 6500 yards at the Blue Tee.” Said Vic Carder, “The pin position was the same as Final Round of 2015 Foshan Open”.
While facing the challenges the tournament set, Mr. Pang still sat on the throne, which showshis excellent golf skills.

Amateurs'golf career will be enriched
To make amateurs get opportunities to participate and experience the international golf tournament – Foshan Open has been always the vision of Southern China Golf Club Members Ranking Tournament and Foshan Open Qualifier.
Foshan Open has hold Junior Qualifier for 4 years to provide an opportunity for junior talents. Juniors like She Zihan, Liang Enqi, Ouyang Tianpeng showed themselves in the international professional competition for the very first time. And now the Ranking Tournament has offered this opportunity to all elite members from golf clubs around Southern China. All golfers from the Ranking Tournament have great winning records which single handicap can’t explain how excellent amateur they are. “Pre-professional” may be a better word for them. If they can break through themselves in this tournament and go into the stage competing with international & national professional golfers, their golf career will be enriched.
On August 30, Mr. Pang stood at the top of the pyramid, beating all top golfers in Southern China, gaining the entry of 2016 Foshan Open.
