The 7th European Challenge Tour Foshan Open, with the biggest prize money on the Tour and RMB80,000 given to the Champion, will be staged at the Foshan Golf Club next week. Chinese golfers including the two-time Best Chinese Player Zhang Huilin and the Foshan Open Ambassador, also the 2016 Best Chinese Player Chen Zihao are ready for the Game of the Canton Cup!

Over the past years, Chinese players have been making progress in the competition with the talented international pros. Unfortunately, so far no Chinese has ever championed this prestigious golf event in the Greater Bay. This year, 11 players out of the top 20 from China Golf Association confirmed their participation.

Zhang Huilin, who just claimed victory in Hunan last month and ranked the second on the China Tour, is definitely the one to watch. What's worth mentioning is that Zhang charged up and led the second round, sending the local fans into frenzy and notching up the Best Chinese Player in 2017.

Attention should also go to those who already won in competitions, such as Chao Haimeng, champion of the Hangzhou International Championship, Dou Zecheng, who played on the Web.com Tour and achieved two titles, Bai Zhengkai, just turned pro and romped the Huangshan Championship, and Shun Yat Hak, winner of the Lushan Open.

Jin Cheng, Xiao Bowen, Wu Tuxuan, Jin Daxing and Zhangjin also have a chance for the title. The young pro Jin Cheng, who championed the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in 2015 and played in the Masters, is especially looking for a maiden victory in his rookie season.
