GEO's philosophy for sustainable development, is more than environment protection, and the effective use of natural resources and energy, it also includes the development of the community. This is in line with one of the focuses of the Foshan Open—Caring for the Community. A series of activities have been held to encourage people to help build a better community.

Last Friday Movie Night

Every month our "Last Friday" event for local families features an outdoor movie and a fun chance to have a try at golf. It was a very relaxed environment where families could mingle and form friendships!

They could also enjoyed the complimentary instruction of our coaching team!

Caring for the Community

Foshan Open is the first international professional golf tournament to support charity in China. We've been focused on the wellness and happiness of people in the community, easpecially the life and future of those in need. Over RMB1.13 million charity money had been donated to charitable institutions over the years.

Every year, we pay several times of visits to the sick children of the Foshan Red Cross Hospital and School.

This August, we invited students and teachers of Guangzhou Huiling Special Education School to experiece golf and Gorden's Kitchen, where they all enjoyed themselves and had fun.

During the Foshan Open promotion series such as New World Friendship Tournament, Southern China Golf Club Members Ranking Tournament and Portuguese-themed Members Monthly Medal, golfers were encouraged to support charity through the fun "9+2" Greater Bay Challenge. Up to September, RMB40,000 has been raised and will be given to the Foshan Red Cross Hospital School and Guangzhou Huiling Special Education School.
