Love Lights Up the Shiwan Yubingshao Ladies Open

Love was in full flow at Foshan Golf Club for the Grand Final of the 2019 Shiwan Yubingshao Ladies Open, part of the Foshan Open Promotion Series. Under the event theme of "Love Life, Love Golf, Love Baijiu, Love Ladies", nearly 70 finalists from around the Greater Bay Area were treated to a highly memorable tournament that culminated in a lively gala dinner, courtesy of the generous sponsorship of Guangdong Shiwan Wine Group.

“You can only have the fun of golf when you play it yourself and you can only know how good the Baijiu is when you taste it yourself. " said Fan Shaohui, Chairman of Guangdong Shiwan Baijiu Group and the head of the Chen Taiji Winery of the 7th generation. "Hope you will havest friendship in drinking and hope the culture of Baijiu will be introduced to the world with our effort and your support!"

The appearance of Janet Lin, the first lady golfer who hit a hole-in-one in the Olympics and also a Foshan Open ambassador, certainly delighted all who attended. There was also a "9+2" Greater Bay fun challenge on the short 19th hole with Janet. Gifts were given out to those who beat Janet or placed their balls inside either the 9 feet or 2 feet circles painted on the green, in the hope that all the love and laughter from that led to the creation of some close friendships among the finalists.

Winner of the Grand Final and a prize of RMB20,000 was Yin Shuangshuang, finishing an astonishing 76. Just one shot behind, Runner up was Zhao Yufei who won RMB10,000 and taking the third placed prize of RMB5,000 was He Huilian, with a score of 80. They all earn a place in the highly popular Foshan Open Pro—Am. A total of RMB66,000 was awarded which meant that those finishing in 4th to 20th places also earned prize money.

Also announced by the Foshan Open organizers is the introduction of a special Ladies Day on Friday 25th October, the second day of the upcoming Foshan Open.“We're already doing a lot for juniors at the Foshan Open and that's been very successful. So now we think it's about time that the event does something special for ladies,” said Julian Small, General Manager of Foshan Golf Club. “All those who played in the Ladies Open will be invited to functions throughout the day in the VIP marquee directly overlooking the final green and so will be able to get up close to see the action from some of the world's best young golfing talent. We're indebted to Shiwan Guangdong Baijiu Group, ICORN, Huawei Terminal Foshan, Porsche Centre Foshan Nanhai and PSSP Group for preparing tastings, fresh juice, latest mobile testing and special purchase offers for the Ladies Day. A highlight will be group photos of the ladies with some of the international pros competing in the Foshan Open who will be invited to the marquee after play. It would be wonderfully rewarding to see that our efforts at some tender loving care result in a highly memorable day for the ladies!”
